Extra High Voltage XLPE Cables

Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) is a type of polyethylene (PE) whose chemical structure is altered by cross-linking reactions, allowing it to operate at high temperatures up to 90℃ and providing excellent electrical properties. The water treeing problem, considered its biggest weakness, has been improved with advancements in production technology, making XLPE a widely used insulation material for power cables and extra high voltage cables across various voltage levels.
